The little button in the middle of the throttle lever, how does it work? I cant find it in my manual. Are you just supposed to press it and then start your motor and be able to throttle with out the prop spinning?

Re: Throttle ?

That doesn't really help me out. Do you need to hold the button while moving the throttle into forward posistion? What exactly does it do? I assume it disengauges something?? Thanks

Yes, if you push it in & push the throttle in forward it will allow you to pump the gas without being in gear , just like 'Park' on a car.....:)

Re: Throttle ?

So after you push it in and get the throttle in forward position, do you need to continue to hold the button? Thanks.

Re: Throttle ?

Step 1: Push the button.
Step 2: Move (or pump) the throttle lever as desired and release the button.
Step 3: Leave the lever about 1/3 forward. (fast idle position)
Step 4: Start the engine.
Step 5: When engine is warmed up, return the lever to neutral. The button will pop back out and gearshift will now be re-engaged.
Step 6: Go forward or backward as desired.

Can't make it any clearer than that.
