My 140HP 2 stroke oil injected, fuel injected is not acting right. When I first bought it it ran fine. When you start it normally it should run at higher rpms for a few seconds and then come down. That is what it used to do the first few times I used it. My first few times taking it out I have fuel mixed with oil in my tank. It was bogging down especially in chop but other than that running fine. I thought that the bogging down was just from running the oil too rich but it just continues to get worse. My motor now just starts for a few seconds sneezes and the shuts off. If I put it in gear and then start running it, it will run a little longer but then eventually die out and shut off. I also noticed that it was not peeing and I am not able to even tell if it is smoking or if the exaust it just spitting out spray. I would think that beeing a 2 stroke there should be some obvious smoke. So far I have changed the spark plugs, check the oil filter and the problem is not yet solved. Several people have told me to clean the carbs but it is fuel injected so I don't think that it has any carbs. I am lost and I am missing out on the fishing season. Also an outbaord mechanic is pretty expensive here. Probobly more than what the motor is worth. I am looking forward to your replies. Thanks Todd

Hi Todd .... welcome to Iboats, your motor have oil injection not fuel injection and it definitely have carbs ...... anyway, a good start to troubleshooting the problem would be a carb rebuild and replacing the impeller ....
