The Motor Is A 35 Hp 1976 Johnson Ele Start The Motor Has Set For About 6 Years And Did Run Im Trying To Get It Back Running But Am Getting No Spark Should I Point To Points Condencers First Or Somthing Else Also Can U Run The Motor Without The Rectfier Please Help.thank For Any Sugg

Chuck if you are getting no fire to either cylinder then I would check the points first. Since it has sat for a few years you will have a few other things you want to do: clean and rebuild carb, replace the impeller, and while you have the flywheel off for the points check all the wiring for cracks and wasp nests, finally visually inspect your coils and make sure that there are no cracks or goo dripping from them.

could you tell what is pupose of rectifier looks like wire have been clipped for some reason thanks for every thing

The rectifier changes DC current to AC current for battery charging purposes.

Dyslexia strikes again !! I'm sure fireman57 meant to say that the rectifier changes AC into DC to charge the battery.......batteries don't much care for AC...
