i have a 89 350 260 hp merc crusier i cant get it to start, there is a wire that comes off the main bundel with a green and white wire that goes to the distributer, i can not find this wire on the wireing scematic and have no idea where its suppose to connect to it has a ring connector on the end and is off white with blue spirel line on it if any one can tell me where this wire connects or if it's just a stray wire it has like 5.8 volts on it when the ignition is on. i replaced the parts in the dist. but don't remeber disconnecting the wire so if any one can help i would apreciate it thanks jim sorry i had the wire color wron its an off white or faded light tan with a blue spirl strip and is in the same harness as the white with green strip going to interupter switch thanks

HMMMMMM.....
The white/green usually goes from the ignition amplifier to the distributer.....
Then to the shift interrupter switch by way of the terminal block with the gray & black wires that connect to the above mentioned switch....
Welcome to iboats, btw.......:)

The tan/blue wires go to the alarm switches. Either temp, oil pressure, or both.
