I am hoping someone can help me. I have a 2.5 hp, 2005, 2 cycle outboard that is having trouble running at high speed. It'll run at full throttle only if I have it choked about 1/2. It starts and idles fine without any choke after it's warm. It'll even run about without choke at 1/2 throttle. I've changed the plug and cleaned the carb. It seems to me to be a fuel issue like a clogged or dirty fuel filter.
Where is the fuel filter on this engine? Anything else to help a novice get this engine running smooth again would be great. Thanks in advance..
