Is the motor a dead loss?

I bought a used 1993 25 hp 2 cycle Mercury that had very few hours use. Since it had been sitting unused for over 10 years I took it to a reputable(?) Mercury dealer and had it serviced (new impeller, new water pump, etc.) at a cost of over $200. The dealer stated that it was in perfect running condition. I tested it when I got it home with a flusher and it seemed to run fine so the next day we headed for the water. After less than 10 minutes use it seized. No funny noises, no smoke or steam..just stopped and appears frozen. Is it a dead loss? I haven't talked to the dealer yet since I don't really know what to say. I'm considering taking it to another repair shop just to see if he can tell me what caused it to seize.

Pull the spark plug and see if you turn it over. May be the lower end instead of the piston.
