I'm looking at buying a boat with a yamaha 115 Four Stroke on it. I test drove it the other day and while motoring along if the throttle is below 2000 RPM's you can use the trim up and down button on the side of the controls. Once the throttle is above 2000 the engine cuts out when ou try to use the up down button. When I showed up to test drive the guy had the battery hooked up backwards, he didn't try to start it but he did try to lower the motor, and when he pressed the down button it just kept trying to go up. He figured it out and switched the terminals around and everything else seemed to work fine. Can somebody please help me. Thank you.
