trailer tire wear

I have a single axle trailer that has a tendency to wear the inside shoulder of the driver's side tire. Is there a way to reduce this wear? I seem to use up a tire per season. Do I have a bent axle? Bad bearings? I don't think the camber is adjustable. With the trailer jacked up the bearings are smooth and quiet - no sign of overheating. Thanks...

Re: trailer tire wear

Park on a perfectly level parking lot. Walk back about 25 yards and stand in line with the back of the trailer. Eyeball the tire/trailer/ground relationship. My bet is the top of the tire tilts toward the trailer indicating a bent spindle or axle, outboard of the spring. Next question -- is the trailer rated to carry the weight of the boat?

Either a bent axle, bent suspension spring or loose bearings. Most likely a bent axle or bent suspension. Does the boat lean at all?
