this is my project, it is a late 80's glasply but is a is molded from a donzi hull. Ive never gotten a direct answer but Im sure it was designed as an I/O and converted to an outboard. it was never rigged up right so it has been gutted and Im in the process of redoing everything.
the interior will have dark blue carpet and everything is being trimmed in honduras mahogany, the side panels, like the one behind the controls are rebuilt in mahogany.
My grandpa placed the order for the seats and somehow forgot we were going with a blue theme and ordered red seats.
I think they will end up looking alright but it was a real hassle to exchange them and there was a back order on the blue seats. the set up will be 4 buckets, and the back two will have a cooler with a matched cushion on top between them.
it's running a mid 90's DT150 and I figure it will be a 60-63mph boat, thats what Im hoping for
my list of things to finish up.
install dual 1000GPH bilge pumps
finish back storage area "hard to explain, better pictures will explain"
glass back access panel
install carpet
rebuild new dash and install new gauges
install seats
install trim.
other little things.
Im working during the day but my grandfather who is working on this with me is a teacher so he gets to work on it during the day, we figure two more weeks and it should be buttoned up and ready to go.
by the way, this is the bay I live on, Im on Dyes inlet which is about 13 miles west of seattle on puget sound.
