Hi I have a 6hp Johnson Seahorse model CD 22M Serial No C451593 I know the year is 1965, does anyone have any information about it, for example fuel ratio, plug gaps or where I can get hold of an owners manual. Any information will be much appreciated.

Howdy, Mike.

Welcome to iboats. :)

Your fuel mix is 50:1, TC-W3 outboard oil and 87 unleaded regular.
Plugs are Champion J4C, gapped at .030"
Set points in the mags at .020"

You can get a reprint Owner's Manual at kencook.com or might get lucky on eBay for a lot less.

Thanks JB you old sea dog but I thought my engine couldn't use unleaded because of its age?

Lead is only necessary to lubricate unhardened valve guides (and to boost octane). No valves, no need for lead.
