mystery part in rebuild kit

1967 sport four evinrude 60 hp sport four

I bought rebuild kit and have a good mechanical break down of the carb

in the carb rebuild kit there is a white small very O-RING small the size of a ball point pen tip , maybe alittle bigger. i looked and looked i can find where this goes!

Any one know?

Looks like you had a typo. You're looking at a small what? Most of these rebuild kits are for several models and you may have extra unneeded parts.

That's a retainer "O" Ring that keeps the electrical choke spring from falling off its attchment point of the choke butterfly..

Some carb kits are for several different carbs. Therefore some parts wont be needed for all applications.
