1983 75 HP bogging on hole shot

I dont know what can be going on but here it goes, multiple people have been using my boat this season and yesterday when I took it out I was going to water ski and when hitting it on hole shot it would stall. I had to feather the throttle to get to WOT. I went over most of the suspected items and nothing. Later in the day, I filled it with gas and took the tank off. The quick connect was loose and I then fully snapped it into place. The motor ran fine thereafter, could this have been the culprit? Any other possible causes. I dont want to go out to the lake again and deal with this problem if It may be something else I havent checked.

May be it was sucking air, but I wouldn't think it could. Maybe it was partially blocked off not getting enough fuel.

very possible. also could be dirty carb. ask the others if they had any problems.
