Please note that the PICTURE UPLOAD function is not working. The iBoats Forum Moderators are working with the system administration folks at the parent company to get the issue resolved. What size trolling motor/wire? Is it the original wiring that came with the trolling motor? If not what gauge is it? Are your terminals all tight and clean?
If the wire is not getting hot also, the connection at the battery is either loose or corroded. Clean it thoroughly and tighten it up. If the wire, along its length, is getting very hot, the problem is elsewhere.
