Can anyone help me troubleshoot a "no spark" problem on the #1 cyl.
This is an 86 inline 6 115hp. I was attemting to check the timing due to no get up & go. I connect up the timing light and it doesn't light. I put a plug back in #2, connect light and it works.I go thru the rest of cyl's and have spark in all but # 1. I then swapped plug wires...still #1. I then swapped
coils with 1 & 2 and #1 coil fires when wired to #2 switch box. Now from this point on I'm not sure....is it the switchbox or is there something else I should
look at. I also checked for continuity on wire between coil and switchbox and it was ok. Thanks for your time....I do appreciate any help I can get.
