Dual Coil and Tach

I'm getting ready to do the link&sync on my inline 6, I have a tach meter that needs to be connected to the coil for the reading, does it matter which coil? I have 2.

If your tach is for dist. ign. it must be set for a 3 cyl. 2 cyl engine and can be hooked to either coil
