I have the 89 Mercuiser 3.7L. The magnets inside of the fly wheel become loose. This particular model is using the stator instead of the alternator.

My question is: what kink of glue do we use to glue them back on. (This is between magnets and metal)

Any advices would be appreciated.

Thanks

I wouldn't even consider Repairing the charging system you've got.....

The Conversion to an Altenator is a No Brainer,........
If you plan to keep the boat anyways........

Those old 470s weren't the Best Idea Mercruiser ever had.........

Ya get the conversion kit and if ya do sell the boat or scrap it out. Those motors are worth alot of money to midget car racers, its the biggest 4 banger made that is OEM. It might worth selling the engine only and repowering with complete package, engine and drive.
My friend sold 2 of these engines out of an old 80's Searay with alpha drives, got 4 grand per motor.
Its funny seeing an 4 barrel on a 4 cylinder that makes 190 HP:D
