Will Dubya pull Osama out of a hat next August? And then say "look, we caught him, my plan was right all along"? Will the constitution be amended so that Dubya can be "President for Life" in the interests of National Security? Or will the Democrats pass a "non-binding resolution" saying that wouldn't be nice?

Same black helicopter stuff I heard last election. OBL will magically appear because we have him in a south american prison. Another cool one was that gas prices were going to mysteriously drop, but that didn't happen. They then amended their fairy tale to say he was making extra cash for his "Big" oil "buddies" on his way out the door, (no names or proof provided of course to support what is nothing more than inuendo) so as to have it both ways.

What does this have to do with Chavez???? Chavez is about 1 degree left of Hillary?

Hermit,I may not like Bush, but I do believe that he is an honest man who sincerely believes in the principals of this republic.
He will not pull a Chavez and if he has Osama,he will make sure that everybody knows tomorrow.

Re: Will Bush pull a Chavez?

if W had osama already, he sure would have pulled him out by now as his approval ratings are sliding into the toilet.

However, I do NOT believe he is an honest man at all. I do think he believes in what he is doing, but his whole administration has been about the ends justifying the means, and honest and morality and all the rest can go by the wayside. Loyalty and ideology have been all that have mattered with this presidency.

I think that the whole neocon cadre would LIKE to pull a Chavez, but I don't think America is quite ready for something that brazen. I could be wrong though...

That's the neocon mindset, not just in politics, but in business and life. I'm not talking about the ones that got roped in on a wedge issue or because their daddy taught them to always vote that way. I'm talking about the outspoken, abrasive, me me me, interrupt you, talk over you, cut you off in traffic, thinks Coulter's voice is soothing ones...

The end always justifies the means.

We are not in this together. I'm here to get mine. If you can get yours, that's great, but I have no qualms about getting mine at the expense of you getting yours.

It is better to out cheat the cheater than to cry foul.

Business is business. Get what you can any way you can. If you got it, you earned it and it's justified no matter how you did it.

It's not illegal if you don't get caught at it.

Screw making a better product when I can leverage my capital to make it harder on my competition.

Etc...

Before you invite me on board for a veggie burger, imo hard left wing kooks are just as bad or worse imo.

That's OK, I don't do veggie burgers... ;)

And yes, I think that whacko extremists of all stripes are a menace and an annoyance.

Where were you living at that time, under a rock? Or were your local stations really hosing the motorist. Around my area the prices went from near $3 to <$2 in just about two weeks in late September and stayed there until after the elections, gee I guess there is too much of a coincidence for some to believe.

As for baby bush pulling a Chavez, he has shown he has no regard for the Constitution and has stacked the courts to roll over and let him do as he pleases. His warrantless eavesdropping is a prime example. But you radical right-wingers don't want to accept that.

I do worry that the next election will end up in court because of electronic voting machines.
Who knows what that will do. Keep Bush in charge until they fight it out in court???

yeah I don't understand why the voting machines made by the same company that makes ATMs can't be made to give a receipt. seems like a no-brainer to me...

The one safeguard we have in all this conspiracy theory stuff is this administration have proven itself time and again collossally incompetent, so I feel confident if they try something funny it should fail.
