suzuki dt65 help

hi, i am new to the forum and boats. my mother recently purchased a used ski barge boat with a dt65 motor on it. the motor didn't run and we took it to a place in Delaware to get fixed. we were told the rectifier was bad but he couldn't figure out how to wire the new one in, he said the wires were different colors than they should be.

i think it is a 1979 motor (f-10880) does anyone happen to have a wiring diagram? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Welcome to iboats .... yes you are correct it is a 1979 model ..... isn't it up to the mech to figure out where what wires go? You are paying him right?

after he had the motor for over 8 months he gave it back and said he couldn't figure it out. so now we are on our own.

sorry i couldn't be more helpfull, I don't have the wiring for that model, can't you part it out one by one .....bypass all basic sensors etc, until you get spark ... otherwise keep looking on e-bay for a wire harness ..... or also check www.brownspoint.com .....
