I am thinking about purchasing the Lowrance fuel flow gauge to connect with my Lowrance global map3500c. Can anyone comment on the installation and the use of the unit if it is worth it. I know the fuel flow gauge is the way to go because the tank gauge is always wrong . Is Lowrance the way to go. Any diagrams on the installation would be great as well.

Re: Lowrance Fuel Flow

I have a 3500c also with the EP-10 fuel flow and find it works well and gives you everthing you could want on flow,MPG GPH ,range in tank ,multi tanks ect

The instructions are a hard to understand at best :D

The problem you will find is getting the N2K-EXT-KIT network expanson kit mine was on backorder 3 months and i had to call and make a fuss to finaly get one

There is a shortage of the TEE connectors which makes and otherwise good unit REALLY ANOYING:mad:

Re: Lowrance Fuel Flow

If you have a 3500c the EP-10 can connect directly to it with the kit and all the fuel flow functions will show up within the GPS ;)

there is no need to get the LMF-400

EP-10 #120-00 56.95
N2K-EXT-KIT #119-501 45.95
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica][FONT=Arial, Helvetica]N2KEXT-15BL #119-341 40.95

After that and of the other probes for level and temp will plug right in you only need one ext kit

I also use the fuel flow sender with my Lowrance 337df. It works very well. I do have problems sometimes where the network comes up funky and I don't see the sender. Pulling off the network cable off the back of the head unit and reconnecting it usually solves the problem.

Re: Lowrance Fuel Flow

Thanks Tommay, that saves a couple hundred. Will that show in the same window with the ground speed, I don't want to cut down too much on the actual map screen if I can avoid it. Although $200 IS $200.
