I have just gotten my hands on this boat and need help finding info on it.
The boat as far as I can tell has only a logo emblem on the side of the boat, no other numbers or anything else.
The logo emblem reads....Duo (with a prop looking emblem) and Decatur, Indiana.
I have enclosed a couple of pictures so you can get a look for yourself.
Any help is appreciated and as always thanks in advance.

Re: Who Knows Boats

there were a lot of really good boat manufacturers, that were swallowed up by the big boys, and the economy.

Re: Who Knows Boats

Duo was bought out by Starcraft in 1966, they were a solid boat that had been around for quite a while. I believe the later versions were more or less Starcraft designs or at least they followed Starcraft's lead.
I have a pretty clean Duo Gypsy Trihull, it's powered by a Mercruiser 120 and is fairly light for a 17 1/2" boat. It weighed in at about 2200 lbs with a full tank and all fluids with everything aboard, including the trailer. I figure the boat itself is about 1750 lbs or so.

I am not sure when they ceased production, but I believe it was in the mid 70's or so. There used to be website but I see it's gone now. It was still up a few months ago.

Here's a link with some more history, there's a link to Duo in the left collum:

You might try emailing Starcraft to find out what happened to the brand name 'DUO"?
