Even before changing impeller, motor would not pump after motor heated up. After changing impeller, water tube properly connected, etc., still would not pump. Could thermostat be bad?
test it in a pan with hot water see if it opens when water gets hot. Thats how you know. Just dont run cold water imediately after you pull it out of the hot water. That fast change will kill it. If you not sure pull the t-stat and run it with no t-stat and see if it pisses then. Just dont run it in the water with no t-stat.
I dont trust the pee hole anymore!! I get a really strong pee hole and theres actually no water going thru the head when i run the engine with the thermostat cover off.
So the pee hole is showing there's water but is not assuring that it is working properly..
welcome to iboats ...... i could be wrong but as far as I remember, these 4hp suzuki's should only blow out like a fine mist ...... and not have a strong pee stream ....
