Starting a new job today!!

Starting my new job today. Orientation at 8 this morning. Im psyced. I was at my previous job for 7 years and I just got tired of all the BS that i was going through there. And i dont mean Briggs and Stratton. Started looking and this place im starting at matched what I was making at the previous job. I coulden't turn it down. I have been home the last week working on the boat. Its been a nice break in between but its going to be nice to get back at it. I think im only giving them my SS card today, signing a bunch of paperwork, and going over the employee manual, so I dont think ill be there all day. Wish me luck. This forum has been great this last week, keeping me from going crazy with all the free time i've had. Thanks a lot guys. And ladies.

Ok im back. 2 hour orientation that was it for today. I start on monday in full swing. I started at the Lowes thats near my house. I was previously at Wal-Mart for about 7 years. Im starting at lowes as a Team Leader. Which is the same as a Department Manager at Wal-mart where i was working before. I just got to a point at wal-mart where i decided that i needed to do something. Eather move up in the company or go somewhere else. I really didnt want to move up to a salary position for wal-mart. Nothing against wal-mart i just dont think that i wanted to treat people the way its required to treat them being a salaried manager at wal-mart. Im 28 and I got married in 06 and I just felt it was time to make a decision. With the retail experiance that i have i think that I will be able to move up with this company in a few years. And they seem to treat the associates better there.

Had a lot of other things to do also. I had almost a week off and i was handed a list of chores from my wife. It was ok though i blew through them in a day or 2 so that way i could get to the boat. LOL
