Hi guys, i just got this 1994 20hop johnson from my brother in law as part of a boat package deal. It was sitting for 3-4 years and today i got it running. Damn does this thing ever have compression compared to my yahama 15hp. Anyways, i didn't even check if it had oil injection i just used 50:1 premix i use for my yammy and it ran fine but wouldn't hold an idle down low. My questions are this, is it infact a 1994? I ran the model number J20CRLERC and that is what i got off a site. Also, the throttle sure doesn't turn very far to get it wide open. It's tight or won't go all the way open. Is there a throttle adjustment i can make? One last thing, there is a smaller nop at the end of the throttle handle that turns. Does this thing serve a purpose? Oh, and i can't figure out how to kill it without removing the emergency key. I appreciate the help if you can offer it. Take care guys from a new Johnson owner.
