I am almost ready to stow the boat for the winter (northern Mn) I have a 99 Evinrude FIECHT motor. What is the best way to put the motor away for 7-8 months stored outside but covered. I know the that I have drain and refill lower end stab the gas, but what about fogging the carbs worried I might somehow damage the enternal working of the carb. This was no problem on my old two cycle motor. Any other hints for a smooth spring launch. Also, how important is it to align the spark plugs to the injectors Thanks the loadmaster

There is a thread in the FAQ about winterizing with a few handy tips.

Re: Winterizing 99 115Hp

There was some really good info in the FAQ. Thanks. But I am still concerned with spraying fogger in the carbs. What is the big difference between the FIECHTS and the oil injected Johnsons??

Could someone tell me how important it is to align the plugs up with fuel injectors
