Hello everyone ;
I'm new to these forums and i'm also a proud owner of a boat...
Anyways Here is my Problem.....
I Had Just Purchased a Boat That had sat for approximately a Year and a Half.... The motor Is a 1972 Johnson 40 Horse Anniversary Edition..I bought new plugs for the motor and installed them ....I checked for a Spark and Nothing....So after fighting with the flywheel all day and finally getting it off I ended up is Changing the condensor,coils and Points....after doing so The motor Fired Up......Now here is the Problem...The first time i had tried to start the motor( when there was no spark) i used the Ignition....After putting the condensor coils and points in the only way i can start the motor is by jump starting it from the Solenoid.....Now I put a New Solenoid in and still the Same thing......For some reason my ignition is not working now and i'm totaly confused....Can anybody help me out i'm stumped on this one...
and thanx for the time to read my story....
