I think the little Barbours had an almost flat bottom. Our neighbor had one when i was a kid.late 50s.He let me take it for a ride;it was fast with a 56 Johnson 25.
There is a Barbour boat site barbourboats.com

Wow! DB and TD! I'm drooling over both boats!

I would love to have a lightweight, classic runabout.

Oh, wow! Thanks for the link! The pictures in those catalogs are absolutely classic!

Yeah that's what I thought and direct folks there often......but not to see the pretty boats and engines.......to see the pretty girls. Grin

Nothing like the look of well varnished wood on a boat.

Over the years, I've owned a number of boats, from Grumman canoes to a Grady White. But absolutely none have given me the enjoyment that this little thing has given our family this summer. It's been an absolute pleasure :D

I just noticed that the trailer may not support the boat all the way back to the transom.Be sure it has nice bunks all the way back.

It doesn't, and yes, I worry about it. On the other hand, it's been that way for almost 50 years ... so I'm not worrying too much.

Well, let me put it this way... I paid $3,400 for it, and if you offered me twice as much for it, my wife would tell you to take a flying leap :)
