Mercury Black max 175HP won't start

Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a 1987 Skeeter Bass Boat that has a Mercury 175HP Black max (Oil Injected) Motor. Here is my dillema...The day I purchased the boat it started right up with Muffs on it. I towed the boat home and now it will not start at all. I Purchased Brand New Batteries and have checked the compression an all 6 cyl...120 PSI Exactly on all 6. Also the boat did not have a control box on it (The previous owner started it by touching the red and Yellow with red stripe togethrt. I have a Comander control box with the EXACT wire colors as the engine harness that I will install as soon as I figure why it won't start. I am confused at how it started the day I got it and 3 days later...Nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does it turn over and not start or wont even turn over?

It cranks really well...New Battery! Just won't start??

Is the kill switch in the off position, if not go to the switch boxes and remove the black yellow wire from each one and ck for spark if that don't work we can give you the test info for the ign system

OK... I removed the black and yellow wires from both of the swtch boxes and I only have a spark on the #1 Cyln ??
