I have a 89 150 gt crossflow that only fires in 4 out of 6 cylinders. This motor was made with only one powerpack for the 6 coils. I have tested start switch, ignition coils, swapped power packs (had bought new while back). I am baffeled. Any help greatly appreciated!

Question, are you getting a good spark to the plugs, and they're not firing, OR, are you getting a no spark condition at all to the plugs?

Because, maybe the plugs are getting wet inside under pressure, due to a slight head gasket leak?

I have a good strong spark at 4 of 6 plug wires. I also swaped and tested plugwires, coils and leads from powerpack still 2 not showing spark. Thanks!

I'd be checking for water intrusion on those 2 cylinders, it's the only thing that makes sense, I doubt the coils or power packs would eliminate firing on just these 2 plugs, unless the spark plugs are bad, (but I bet you prob. replaced them already) by the way, how's the compression on these 2 cylinders, compared to the rest? there's an item to check.

I am running test with spark tester. By the way no leaks and good compression(100 psi at all cylinders). Leaning toward Timer base or Stator. Thanks MikDee

That's the next thing to check is the trigger, or stator, make sure your plug wires are not crossed. good luck, Mike
