Draining my 5.0 305 800 stringer

Just a quick question. On my 305 800 stringer I want to drain it tonight to be safe. I think I open the 2 drain cocks on the block and pull the rubber caps off the exhaust manifolds and raise the front of the motor with the trim motor.
Anything else?

Ayuh,.....
As you know Beef,..... I don't do OMCs.......
But,....
I'd go ahead,+ pull the Big hose off the circulating pump too.....
That'll hold a Qt. of water sometimes......

Btw,.......
I found,+ installed my Whistles........
Even can filling the tanks at the dock results in a nice steady Whistle........
I Love'm..............;) :)

Yes!

Undo the water hose on the power steering heat exchanger, (near the distributor).

When you have the brass plugs out of the block, poke a piece of wire in the holes to make sure it's not blocked with rust.

Same with the plugs in the manifolds. I did not do the wire thing one year and paid the price. Engine and mani's.
