If it is a 2 wire trim motor, that will help you narrow down the year. Could you take a pic of just the trim unit? I think FR is right on with an 81 though, the paint schemes look the same.

I have a pretty busy weekend lined up, but I'll try to get a pic of the trim unit to you ASAP. Thanks for the help.
