I have bought a new Mercury 90HP in July, she runs really nie. I usually use 87 octane. I did use Seafoam a few times and Oil was Mercury or Quicksilver, as specified by Mercury. I used her in Salt and fresh water. But today was really screwed up. I ran her and turned her off about 4 times to crab, well, when I tried to start her, she did not want to start at all! I started to smell fuel. I also trimmed up to check the intake holes and then noticed black spots I assume are oil. after a while it started There seemed to be nothing wrong??? I ran her slow and then faster. then took her home and flushed the saltwater and ran it around in the river and shut her down and started her many times, she ran smooth and strong!! What Should I do??
I Am very worried, because when it would not start, I was sounding the 5 blasts on my airhorn, and NOONE came to help. After about 40 mins some very nice man came to assist. Anyway what should I do about that problem?
Also I have Ski Safe boaters insurance through Geico, and when I was able to get a signal on the cell. I found out they are closed! Also I would appreciate a good place for insurance who would be there! Thanks for all your help! Mark
