so anybody know which one is better... or have one or the other and like or dislike it? the westland or the endura? i'd be lookin at the most expensive of either of the two brands.

the cover i have is a overtons one. don't know which one. but whatever their top of line one was last year for a 21' boat. pretty sure it's the 102" beam to compensate for my hardtop. the fit is pretty good. but it's only lasted one year. what it didn't like was tree limbs 2-3'' x 16+ feet droping on it. put a hole in it. a smaller branch ripped the outside fabric, but not the inside water resistant fabric(plastic of some kind it looks like). the inside plastic part didn't like fuel leaked on it and became brittle and is flakeing off. the fuel came from the vent after a fill up. and right now i'm toppin off after ea. run for the cool weather condensation thats happening......lastly it didn't like being scraped accross the corner of my hardtop. pulling it fwds to put it on put a big rip on the inside plastic waterproof part. some of these problems i can cure, user error, some i can't. the tree problem is a givin as i got nowhere else to put the boat.

so anyways. these iboats covers any good? just as soon give my biz to them i guess. i like the fourm ya know... or i'm open to suggestions too. but would like to get ontoit soon before it rains(again) or snows....

Re: iboats boat covers

well the tree problem, non are going to hold up to that. foam rubber to the wear spots helps. as far as fit, they are semi custom, built for many boats, which non are alike. bite the bullet build a boat port, and use a cheap cover.

it'd be like a carport. but for a boat.

and yes td, a boatport would be the ticket for sure. however the tree is in the way of that too. the way my house sits and the way the two 1920 maple trees i have are situated, i have no room to build a garage, nor add a carport......i'm about ready to consider cleaning this one up and see if i could have it on the market by spring.......get me a different house, with a garage......but not yet. i still need a cover for the winter.......

Re: iboats boat covers

I recently bought the custom fit endura and it sucks!!
Does not fit the boat very well for a custom cover. This cover was supposed to be for my exact boat brand and year.
Installed an adjustable pole where cover had snap for it and that was in wrong place. Am now trying to get a bow to work under cover. Plus the stern part of cover does not pull down over stern the way it should and console portion of cover just does not fit.
Too much money for an ill fitting cover that you can't return. Really disapointing and will make me double think any other IBoat products.
Be careful.

man rbc. that aint to good. well, i made my decision today. or risk the rain in my aristocraft. hope it comes before the rain....i got one i know fits. and i ain't even gettin a custom one. just generic. nobody makes a custom one for me. short of havin one made. which, i ain't gonna do. i even called aristocraft to no avail. didn't think that'd work but had to try........ guess at one point in time ya could get an oem one. but not now.... hope the new generic one works out. guess it's very simialar to what i got but has been redesigned in some aspects. so the distributor said......time will tell.....
thanks for the feedback folks.....

RBC, they are semi custom, built for many boats, a custom cover is built for your model, and year. if you want a perfect fit. take it to the local canvass shop and leave it with them for 2 weeks, and break out the 2nd check book.
