35 hp Johnson sea horse

I recently was given a super sea horse the serial number is 1968902 & Model is RDSL21B can anyone tell me the year model.

Recommended Manual is the original from OMC, MaineTexan. Try kencook.com.

Meanwhile, your fuel mix should be 24:1, one quart TC-W3 oil to 6 gallons 87 unleaded.

Spark plugs are Champion J4C gapped at .030". Points set at .020"

Really curious about the MaineTexan handle.

I have a Johnson Model is RDS21B.

One manual is
"1956-1970 Johnson/Evinrude Outboard, Volume 1, Tune-up and Repair Manual, 1.5 HP thru 40 HP" by Seloc Publications

An original OMC manual is
"Johnson Service Manual Tenth Edition"

I found the first one at my local library.

that is correct. i have the manual.

it is a dependable motor, check you compression and spark. to see if you have a viable base to work with. to be dependable, you will probably spend in the range of $200 to change, point, condensers, coils, plugs, and wires, carb kit. a must do is to service the water pump.

it is a simple motor to work on, if you are mechanically inclined.

Jb I lived in Texas all my life a Native Texan but Married a Mainaic moved to maine divorced the Mainer but decided to stay the rest of the story.
