The Colts aren't that good.

The Pats have humiliated at least two very good teams. . .Cowboys and Redskins. . . I don't see anybody beating them without divine intervention, or even scoring 24 points.

Pats for sure, Brady and Moss put together is the ultimate duo. They are just so damn good!

Pats are a awefully good, but the Colts are pretty good also! I am not sure which one to chose ... I think the Pats are the better team, talent-wise, but the Colts know how to win. It will be a close game, and down to the wire. But then again, what do I know ... because I said this it will probably be a blowout by the Colts! LOL!

Aww comon JB! Not that good? They were without 3 key starters, let the other team have the first half and then still blew them out with the time remained. They were just playing cat and mouse with the Panthers, ironically the Panthers were playing the role of the mouse. Seriously, had they were all business and played it right all four quarters the score could have been 62-7.

Look, I'm a huge Redskins fan, but to use them in this context is way wrong. Skins O-line looks like duct-tape and chewing gum and they haven't run the ball well all year. They've won some good games by playing good defense, but the Pats have too many weapons for the Washington D and if you can't score points, you can't win and I didn't see anyway Wash would be able to score more than 10 against NE and they didn't even make it to 10.

I'd like to see NE play a team with a solid DEF AND a solid offense. I think Indy might be the first of those, but their DEF still leaves alot to be desired. Pittsburgh might be better defensively, but not high powered offense.

Re: Pats vs. Colts?

Ok I just looked up some stats:

INDY:
2nd in the League against the pass = Avg allow 165.4 yards per game
Teams they've played:
NO - Brees 192 yds, 0 TD, 2 INT - BAD Offensive team except for last 2 wks
TEN - Young 184 yds, 1 TD - Another BAD offensive team
HOU- Schaub 236 yds, 1 TD, 2 Int - Was "ok" team when played - Brady is better than Schaub
DEN - Cutler 131 yds, 1 TD, 1 Int - Terrible passing team
TB - Garcia 143 yds, 2 TD - Another team not generating alot of offense
JAX - Garrard/Gray - 128 yds, 0 TD, 2 INT - Another terrible passing team
CAR - Testerverde/Carr - 185 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT - ANOTHER terrible passing team

So, Indy hasn't played ANYONE with the Offensive firepower of Brady + Receivers. They allowed 236 yards to Matt Schaub with Andre Davis and Kevin Walter (!) - Brady + Moss + Welker + (any # of their receivers) is 100x better than Schaub and the Texans.

I think Indy is in trouble vs the pass.

Now NE:
6th in the league against the pass = Avg allow 181.5 yds passing per game
Teams they've played:
NYJ - Pennington/Clemens - 202 yds, 2 TDs - Poor Passing Team
SD - Rivers - 179 yds, 2 TDS, 2 INT - Was playing poorly then (SD) , playing better now - Poor Passing Team then
BUF - Edwards/Losman - 101 yds (!), 0 Td, 1 int - POOR POOR passing team
CIN - Palmer - 234 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT - Good Passing team sometimes, no running game though to help out
CLE - Anderson 287 yds, 2 TD, 3 INT - Good (can you believe it) passing team. 287 yards...interesting
DAL - Romo - 199 yds, 2TD, 1 INT - Good passing team till they ran into NE
MIA - Lemon - 236 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT (28 pts) - mostly garbage pts
WAS - Campbell - 197 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT - Terrible passing team right now

So, NE may actually be more 'attackable' through the air than Indy. Because Manning and company (if they have Harrison back) are alot more deadly than CLE or CIN.

They will need Harrison back to win this game. Its hard to tell how many of those yards that opposing QBs are getting (against NE) during 'garbage time'. When the game is already a blow out.

I think the Pats defense will be the deciding factor.

If, and a big IF the Colts beat them, it will only be because they were able to apply constant pressure to Tom Brady. When Tom Brady gets knocked down often or has constant pressure applied to him, he looks average at best.

Not one team has been able to put pressure on Brady over an entire game. That is the key to beating this team. Yea, I know, it does not take rocket science to figure this out, but for some reason the defenses tend to fall back into coverage against him and he is to good to be played with that scheme.

I think the Steelers are the only team with a realistic shot at beatimg them, and I hate the Steelers. Go Browns!

I say a tie....Then the '72 Dolphins can have their champagne toast. On a side note the '07 Dolphins are working on a perfect season too!!!!

Colts fan here, live 5 miles from the dome. Have no idea who is going to win the game, but here are a few observations.

A few years back when Manning was in the process of breaking Marino's touchdown per season record, many people got caught up in the hype. The Colts weren't all that balanced and relied way too much on Manning and the offense. Not enough running or stopping the run. Got our butts beat in the playoffs. Last year that all came together at the right time and has continued into this season.

Patriots remind me of the Colts of a few years ago and vice versa. Whoever wins this game will have a two game lead on the other and will more than likely go on to have HFA for playoffs.

Who ever makes the least amount of mistakes wins.

Cover two = no long pass + Dwight Freeney rushing the QB + Bob Sander chopping down runners and short yardage plays = lotsa pressure and a long day for the Pats. If they double team Freeney then there would be an extra guy to get Brady.

Cover two= no long pass? We're talking Welker, Stallworth, and that other guy, what's his name? Oh yeah, Moss.
