Brave 3 sterndrive removal

I found a PDF online of how to inatall, but how do I remove as far as the shift cable is concerned. Pull in neutral? It appears that there is a cable that you just unhook? It is an 06 in my bosses cruiser and I don't want to screw anything up. Are the "U" joints lubeable?

The shift cable jaws open up when you pull the drive out and the cable releases itself. I just took mine off and yes there are grease fittings on the u-joints. Put shifter in Neutral also.

Don't for get the speedo tube 1st and then put the drive all the way down

Ujoints are lubeable, if the drive is old enough.
