Mercury 60 hp 1989 oil injection

Hi i have what may seem to be dumb question my merc says 60 hp oil injection, does that mean it has a seperate oil reservoir because if it does i can`t find it

If its not under cowling then sombody probably removed it because it didnt work right any more which means premix 50:1

The 1989 60hp did not have oil injection under the cowling at the motor. It used the Mercury 'Autoblend' system where the oil reservoir was in the boat. It has likely been removed and you need to premix your fuel in the tank yourself to 50:1

The newer oil injection systems are known to be very reliable, whereas the older Autolube systems are reported to be somewhat unpredictable.

I have a 1989 50 hp Mercury with the autoblend (oil injection) I ran out of gas ,now it won't start ,I think it flooded with oil,has anyone had this problem? How can i get rid of the autoblend and just mix the oil in gas
