Some here said 2 strokes have more acceleration then 4strokes, i knew this was wrong as i grew up on 2 and 4 stroke dirtbikes.

The other engines are not supercharged as the verado is.

Superchargers boost power and power curves. In theory..... the mercury verado is using a supercharger to attain 150 hp so the only fair comparison would be against an equal engine.

Do not be fooled. All things created equal may not be equal in testing. My arguement is that e-tec's vs e-tec's would not be equal..... one will be faster and more efficient...... same thing for the verado vs verado.... one will be faster etc.

Look closely at the charts and numbers and see how much faster it is....... if you strip weight out of a boat you could have even more performance gains.

If yammie, suzuki, evinrude used the same technology they would be equal.... and on any given day ANY horse can win a race.

If you took two cars off an assembly line that were identical which would be faster..... you can't tell until a race.

I understand where your coming from. But i was stating 4strokes beat every motor there on takeoff . Had to be specialist from other companies there to obzerve specs though .

2strokes burn off less fuel,throwing leftover in exhaust leaving less pure air for a nice combustion.
