I am looking to buy a new/used boat. I just sold my 1985 Searay seville due to floor rot. Can't do the work myself and can't see putting in 2000-3000 to have someone else do it. The boat was terrific, ran like a charm, and now my brother is the proud owner. I'm looking for a newer/new 18-19 foot boat that will be used primarily for fishing on Lake Erie. I don't need any big horsepower. Can you pls recommend where I can find reviews for 2007/2008 boats that might help narrow my choices? I'm hoping to spend between 15-22,000. I will go to the Cleveland boat show, but would like to know if there is an easy place to do the research..either internet, magazine, etc?

Have you tried looking here on Iboats to see about the boats and reviews? I personally don't even worry about a review myself. These guys can point you in the right direction. Get you something that fits you if your the main one looking for a boat. If you have a family and you like to take them out of course, let it be a family decision. Somebody will chime in soon. Happy boat hunting and Happy Thanksgiving

If you are looking for a Magazine Review then look elswhere. I have never seen a mag review that even approached negative. They have to take care of their advertisers after all. Your best bet would be to hang out at your local dock / ramp and ask current owners for information..................

Check out Lund boats. I see quite a few of them on Erie fishing for the eyes.
