She Finally Wised Up

Our estranged daughter that has refused to talk and have relations with us has finally got wise. It was going on 3 years since she decided that her idiot boyfriend was using her. She had been paying his child support and other bills. She had even hired an attorney to get the custody of his son. Once he found out that she was leaving him, he took his son (they had temp custody) back to his ex and moved to Florida.

As for now she has moved in with her big sister. Now they are fighting because anyone knows that two families cannot live under one roof. (Unless you are from south of the border )

I talked to my BIL that has a few rental units. He is going to let her move in to one of them. Big sister is all PO'd because she was using her sister as the boyfriend did.

Yeah, I know things are a bit crazy around here family wise, but at least we are pretty much together again as a whole family. We are now looking forward to a great holiday season that is ahead. Now we got to learn how to deal with all the questions that our grand daughter is asking us. Sure did miss that little girl,,,,,,more than my wife and I had ever thought.

Being patient and staying out of her way was probably the best way to have handled this situation. Sometimes people have to make their own mistakes to learn. Thought I would post a postive update since the last uprising.......Thanks,,,,,,,SS

they have to solve their own problems, and live with the decisions they make. as parents, as much as we want to, we can't make everything right.

I can barely remember being young but I can remember that my parents knew nothing and was surprised as I grew older what good advise I had ignored from my father especially. I think the younger people simply don't understand that thier parents once fell into the same problems along the way to adulthood and are simply trying to save them the greif that we and our friends experinced

Ditto on what Mark said. Glad things are moving in a positive direction and the family will be together for the holidays.

In the end, all we really have is our family.

Glad to hear things are moving in the right direction for your family there SS. Tis the season for family as they say. As for your granddaughter, young kids are way more resilient (sp) than we give them credit for. I'm sure every thing will work out with her.
