Phone Spam?

I got a text today at 11am suggesting to go to MAN555 com. Apparently the site does not exist. Did anyone else get one of these on their cell phone also? Its strange to me since I have never ever recieved a text from an email address. Hmmmm something fishy going on and I don't want to be the bait!

It exists for me. I just tried it. Well, I didn't "try" it but the page loaded. It's some kind of singles phone hookup thing lol.

They're not spamming my celly, yet!

I have got 2 spam text messages on my Nextel in the last few weeks.I thought it was strange also.
My Verizon phone so far has not had any..

you can now put your cell on the do not call list. sites are now selling cell phone, and email list.

The cell phone that I have is company owned. I let my boss know and he said he received spam also.

Telemarketing is bad enough, and now we have to put up with the spam on our phones? I don't think it is right, especially when it costs money on the receiving end.

Yikes!

I sure hope I never start getting that crap on my cell phone! I finally got the house put on the do not call list. I was getting up to a dozen calls a day that were marketing. When the power and phone were out for a few days here last week, that was one of the nicest things about it: no telemarketers!

The do not call site said to expect it to take a month to stop getting calls, but it has only been a couple of weeks and my telemarketing calls are waay down in frequency already.

My email is set to delete the crap.Unreal the amount it deletes everyday yet some still get through.As far as the home phone we are on the dont call list but still get one every now and then.Cell phones it has not happened yet.Geez cant they just give it up! If we are shopping for something we have all the tools we need to find what we want.Gets old too much advertising going on.

If you're a Verizon wireless customer, you may have gotten a weird text message this week.

If you don't have unlimited text messaging and open a spam text message, you get charged. Some messages ask you to buy something. Others have a unexplainable message on them.

If you get a spam message and use Verizon, you call customer service to get a refund.

There's also a website to block internet messages. It's www.vtext.com. Simply go to preferences, then to text blocking.

Spint customers can go to a local branch to also get their money back.

Us Cellular here and yes have gotten one myself a girl i know has gotten one and my mom has gotten one. They have all been titled with random emails.
