1983 evin 150 crossflow upper crankbearing

im looking for the upper crank bearing on brp its comes up as and assembly
and is priceyto say the least can bearing be bought and pressed in.

There is no part number for the bearing by itself. Call someone like Superior Marine (800-338-9281), they'll have one. What's wrong with yours?

not sure if its bad have been chasing loud tick in top of motor
looking like i may have wrist pin or bearing prob used stethescope
and sound is high by the fly wheel am considering disasembly.
and was looking at parts saw that they didnt show just bearing
ive had several post on here and have done everything but pull intake
and flywheel they say if it were a magnet it would probaly have
destroyed my stator by now this power head has very little use and
overheated one time replaced everything .
compression is excellent but the man at the supplier of the rebuil kits says it could be piston slap .only one way to find out is to tear down.

i believe the v-4 has the same bearing ,a 495 bearing. same issue with my motor, a tick and a growling noise.

I went through this a couple of years ago. Torrington makes the bearing, but will not sell to the public, as it is an OMC design. Berry Bearing cannot get them. Proprietary and all that stuff. Wound up buying a complete head assy from ebay. I know there is an upper brg on ebay now, but don't remember if it is for a crossflow. Greg is right, the V4's and V6's all use the same one. There must be thousands around. Am sure you can get one from Boat Recyclers of Wilmington-Check the web. Unfortunately, when these bearings go, they tend to damage the upper crank journal, so be sure to check that journal carefully. Be sure to replace the upper crank head seals. Good luck.

i am watching the other post hopeing that the tick in my motor is in the bearing thanks for the info on were to buy its 99 dollars and you heat up housing to remove and replace unsure if its my prob but i took water in the top cyl when i blew head gasket i have repaired heads hopeing its the prob
seems like on the rebuilds they seem to neglect upper bearing unlike the other post mine has no side to side play will post results after i tear down
weather is bad here
