21 ft 1983 Citation or similar rig owners - advise please

I am looking at a possibility of taking yet another project boat. it is a 21 ft cuddy cabin 1984 Citation with a 4 cylinder volvo. Does anyone that has a similar rig can comment on the performance with a 4 cylinder? Frankly, it looks like it is way underpowered, but maybe Im wrong. Any advise from owners of this same type rig or similar rigs will be very welcome.

it ain't no speed demon. and will definately need full power to plane. probably make a good wakeboard boat.

I would find OUT what Volvo motor it is as the older volvo car based units cost big on parts compared to the newer 3.0 GM they use

Unless it has a real flat bottom, IMO that size boat needs a V8.

Thats what I thought. It was tempting for $500.00, but im inclined to pass on it...
