Hello Gentlemen,
I'm struggling with the wiring on my 3.7/470 in a 19' 1982 checkmate. of the many questions (and after trying to find it on multiple wiring diagrams)
"....What is the long brown wire exiting the wiring harness near the starter?..." (It's the old seperate solonoid starter) All I find in the diagrams for brown is the cutout switch / coil, but it's nowhere near long enough to go to either of those. It looks factory, not spliced in. any idea?
2nd question, my trim pump does not run/turn, in or out, nothing, nada, all quiet, one solonoid (up) clicks and thats it. (one of the early alpha models) I tried jumping a hot wire to either side and nothing, no sound, not even any sparks. (grounds look reasonable, though I'll clean them next) "....Can these pumps be taken apart for troubleshooting?..."
thanks and respect
frank
