jubilee evinrude 10 horse

bought evinrude the seller said it was a 10 horse jubilee 1969
that doesnt jive on brp site welch plugs have no numbers and transom bracket has none .any one know what year or years the jubilee was made

I believe the jubilee was a '59...definitely not '69.

yes your right seems 2 be 59 need carb kit with float
anyone know were to get some info on that

here at iboats. or crowleymarine or gotomarine. I just got one to fix my friend's 10hp jubilee and it was the same float as my '58 18hp. It was a plastic float (8bucks) and I was very pleased with it. Where are you in LA. by the way (me too.), If you need a newer part number for the float say so and I can go outside and get it.

"Golden Jubilee" refers to Evinrude's 50th anniversery, 1959

yes it will need carb kit and float although its brass it may still be good whats the best way to test brass float are they good motors and how are they on the resale this motor is in good shape

FR, just a curiosity question ... my 1972 65hp Johnson is a "50th Anniversary" engine .... is that 50th year as OMC?

As Johnson in 1922. OMC was formed in 1929. Founded as a combination of Evinrude, Elto and Johnson. As I recall. I wasn't there.

1972 was Johnson's 50th.

Benny, did you say the float is brass? It shouldn't be. If it is it has already been replaced, but who knows where it came from.
