2002 Df 50

I have a suzuki df50, I just bought it from a trusted pal and installed it on my boat. It was a tiller handle and I converted it to a steering set-up. I have everything connected and the motor is working great, my question is this.

the tachometer cable is is a flat ribbon cable with a connector that connects directly to the tach, but the tach does not work. there are other wires but I understood from my buddy that he had only hooked the ribbon cable to the tach.

one more question, Is there a speedometer hose or connection on the df50?

The flat cable is only for the warning lights. You also have to connect the black (-), grey (ign +) and yellow (tach) wires.

No speedo pick-up in the DF40/50.
