Can't wait to get out on the water as soon as the boats fixed up. There is so much water and fishing around here I don't know where to start. I'm new to the area and have a 19ft deepV with a 140hp Evenr. Any ideas on where to start fishing and boating? I hear the Stripers are awsome, but I'm a West Coast Salmon fisherman so I'm a little lost out here.

1st thing, get rid of the lamiglas rod; get something with a stiffer tip. Sorry; all my west coast buddies fish lamiglas.

where are you located

Its been a year since I posted, but it's Striper season again so I'm back. I live in Hampton Roads and just found out how to fish the James River and HRBT. I have yet to catch a fish, but I'm learning every time I go out. I wish I caught as many fish as money I spent on my boat.

If you go to fish the cbbt you will certainly catch something what have you been fishing with and how have you been fishing. If you use live or fake bait and go trollling you should hook up.also type in chesapeake fishing report in google and they will give you plenty of techniques and what is biting now and where and how to catch it good luck let me know what you catch i fish the bay bridge tunnel and lynnhaven inlets. im getting stripers no monsters yet a lot of puppy drum and some speckled trouts. no flounder for me.
