I want a tattle tale

I want to install a tattle tale on my 59 evenrude big twin. Where is the best place to connect the line on the engine? Anybody done this, on one of these? Any expertise would be appreciated. I finally got her runnin, wanna keep her that way. These old motors got spunk!

Why would you want to do this? The Bigtwin has an exhaust port in the midsection, through which cooling water is also discharged - you already have visible idication of water flow above the surface.

I already have one of them little tattle tales, that tells girlfreind everything daddy does when she aint lookin. Is the exaust hole dependable for knowing water is flowing? Mine only sprays water out, not a stream. I don't think you can make a 59 look late model either. It's much too cool looking the way it is. Yall are too funny, but helpfull also.

The exhaust hole is as dependable as a "telltale" or "pee-hole". If you see water its cooling. Just a little water or mist and you have a problem.
