I have a 26ft mako cc 1989 with twin 200ob. i need a new trailer but the prices i got so far are outragious. one buy quoted 9000$ and another said 7000$ why are they saying so much. im only towing twice a year about 1.5hrs each way. im not paying more for the trailer then i paid for the boat. is there any reasonable people out there that would like to sell you a trailer and work with you rather then try to get you to buy a 80000$ boat instead. i have 3500-4000 to spend. new used i just need a new trailer, thanks erik

Re: New Trailer

Where are you located at Futball?
There are all kinds of used trailers for sale. Google boat trailers and see what comes up.
The last trailer that I bought was a new Loadmaster tandem to handle a 270 SeaRay. It was half of what you are talking about.

Re: New Trailer

Futbal:

I don't understand your problems finding a trailer. You don't say where you are from in your post or in your profile so we cannot get a feel for your local prices. As far as how much you use the trailer, that is of no concern to the person that sells it. Are you wanting a new trailer or are you looking to have good safe transport for your boat for the least possible price?

A new trailer will cost what the market bears, but a good used trailer can be had in most markets for under $2,000 in your weight range. You will probably have to spend a couple of hundred bucks to have a local fit your rollers or bunks to your vessel.

Help us out here and tell us what you want more clearly.

Re: New Trailer

sorry i didnt put where i am located, i live in south jersey near philadelphia, the boat will be in cape may and only need to treailer a few times there and back it will be docked the rest of the time, i would like a tri axle since my yard tends to suck up everything you put in it so i would like the extra wheels for more support and not to sink, i have 3500-4000 to spend so if someone has a new or used ill be glad to buy, thanks erik

Awesome find TD. I found these guys on eBay. They do custom trailers and are in Lakewood, NJ. Check out eBay auction # 110221699161 or give them a call at TOLL FREE 888-392-5646.

Re: New Trailer

i hear a lot of bad stuff about the ventures and that they are overpriced for the quality of the trailer, and nextrail is even worse. the venture is to small anyway its gvw is 7200 or something, my boat is 3400, motors 1200, fuel 1600, batteries 150, plus safety gear, t-top, tackle, that really big tuna lol. i need something to carry around 7000lbs of boat. so 8500 or better should be good for me correct? 8500 minus the weight of the trailer should be somewhere around 7000 give or take. i saw the triaxle from ace trailer on ebay for 4000 and he said 250 to ship to jersey. are they anygood. i dont wanna wheel to fall off going down the highway because you get what you pay for. thanks for all the help. erik

Re: New Trailer

I would definitly give them a call as TD said. They state they have lots of different kinds of trailers. If they don't have something now, my guess is they could come across something for you soon, and probably save you $ome money. 100% positive feedback from over 300 buyers is pretty darn good!

Re: New Trailer

This is a fair drive for you but a very good deal.

fortmyers.craigslist.org/boa/573779823.html

Try other craigslists for used ones, quite often there's really good deals there.

Re: New Trailer

It sounds awesome! I know you're at the top of what you wanted to spend, but if it's as nice as it sounds, you got a fair deal for what you wanted, in the price range you wanted. How many people can say that! Please let us know how it worked out, and post some pics if you can!

Re: New Trailer

well i drive to maryland yesterday to pick up the trailer, i used a friends explorer to to save on gas since my truck only gets 6.4 miles a gallon, the guy was very nice, him and his oldlady drove from VA to meet us and only charged 150 to drive the trailer to there so it wasnt that bad, the trailer is very nicely made, no welds on the trailer at all, it has a nice tongue as well, it is almost three foot and not hard to back up since it is over 30ft long, the wiring on the lights is nicely ran as well. i will try to get some pics this weekend when i put the boat on the trailer. overall it was worth the trip and cost me 4300 included fuel and tolls, not included the having to take the wife to red robin for lunch since we dont have one around us, lol
