Got a new ignition switch for my 120 hp force yr (1996) copied the wiring pattern and plugged in the new one. The problem is that now it will start but the only way I can turn it off is to unplug the gas line. What is going on?

Even when you turn the key to off position? Sounded like one of the wire is on the accessory terminal which would keep the motor running with the key on acc. position. Is the new switch the exact same make and model as the old switch? If not then you should get a diagram of both the old and new switch and then goes from there.

I'll see if I can get that tif file converted/resaved of that Force harness wiring and ignition stuff posted. I received some good advice on this (thanks guys).
If I can't I might send you a PM and try to get it to you that way.
