After being shut in the house for the last two weeks, I decided to get out. I've got good range of motion in my knee and this morning I had no pain or discomfort :D.

Monday I emailed the marina and later on, the lady from there called me on my cell phone. She then told me about the one spot available. Later on my wife came home and I told her that Carrie called me. She got PO'd and was ready to kill because that is the name of my X. She asked me how in the h e double L did she get my cell phone number. So I told her that she got it off the previous paper work from the years of docking our boat. That is when my wife realized that it wasn't my X. :D Yep, I couldn't resist in having a bit of fun at her expense.

So today I went to the marina an paid for my slip in full. Got the choice of 2 spots that were left. The other spot only had a deposit without choice of the slip. I'll be sharing the slip with a small jet ski type boat so I will have plenty of room to get in or out. Last time, I only had 2' total of space to manuever. That sure was a pain when the winds was blowing hard.

I didn't get the boat out at all last year. Still covered and winterized from the year before. Sure hope nothing has busted. I know my hot water tank sprung a leak during the last week the last time I had it in. Hopefully it can be repaired. Maybe this year I can get WoosterKen and gonfishn to drop in. Of course any other iboats members are welcome to drop in as well.

They did add something new to the power docks,,,,,We actually have a fire pit at the end of the dock on land. The last 3 years we would get one going only to be put out. Finally the owner of the marina got special permission for the houseboaters on the power dock to have one. SHould be a great year ahead rain or shine,,,,,,,I really won't care this year :D

At least this has helped eliminate the boredom that I have been going through..........SS

Other than the Victoria, I also have a 24' Reinell cruiser(paid$250) and a VIP Vision. Neither of the later are usable,,,,,,,,yet, but the Reinell is half stripped and needs a floor. That is the project this spring. Going to turn it into a center console style for Lake Erie perch fishing. Found out today they (DNR) cut the bag limit on perch from 40 to 30 a person per day.

So as you can see, I don't think my wife would like the idea of getting another boat:D

SS, last check I think the DNR is looking into dropping the limit on perch again for this next fishing season...In ohio waters it dropped last season to 30. So something to keep in mind if you do fish erie. There have been small blurps I have read online that it my only be enforced (lower limit rumored to be 25) only in the western basin....Not sure just yet. Just keep your eyes open.

There's a commercial perch fisherie up there too, isn't there? Wonder if this applies in any way to them.

Nope but they do have certain restrictions that they have to follow.

What do you mean by "share a slip". Do you mean you're both on the same side, one behind another?
